Clarissa Christensen, CNM, is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care for women throughout every stage of life. She believes that every patient is unique and deserves individualized care that reflects their personal needs, values, and goals. Clarissa takes the time to listen carefully, answer questions thoroughly, and involve patients in decisions about their healthcare. Her goal is for every patient to feel heard, respected, empowered, and confident in their care.
Clarissa was drawn to women’s health because of the opportunity to care for women during many of life’s most important transitions. She is passionate about helping women make informed decisions about their health and values building trusting relationships that support long-term wellness.
With more than six years of experience as a nurse practitioner and 14 years working in the medical field, Clarissa brings both expertise and a patient-centered approach to her practice. Having lived throughout Alaska—from rural villages and coastal communities to the state’s interior—she has developed an appreciation for the diverse experiences and healthcare needs of the women she serves.
Outside of work, Clarissa enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and immersing herself in local cultures through unique foods and activities. She also loves creating and is always eager to learn a new craft or hobby, embracing any opportunity to challenge herself and discover something new.
